Hydrostatic Testing

Hydrostatic pressure testing is a process that uses water to exert pressure on a pipeline, reel, arrangements (pipes and fittings) and equipment, etc. at levels much higher than their normal operating pressure. A hydrostatic test will indicate whether or not the equipment is leaking at the time of the test, as a means of verifying whether or not it is safe to put into service. For this, PETROPIPE offers the hydrostatic testing service, with technicians (in LT Levels 1 and 2 tightness tests) and certified equipment, either for field service or within facilities. Under ISO/TR25107-2019, ANSI/ASNT CP-105, ISO 9712:2012, API 1110-2022, NOM-007-SECRE-2010, 49 CFR (192, 193 AND 195), ISO 15156-2020, ASTM Standards E1003-13 (2022), PEMEX-EST-IC-150-2017, ET-150-PEMEX-2019 and NFR-150-PEMEX-2011.
